Default Lac La Nonne Jan 26

Conditions: Ice a consistant 16 inches, snow about 6 inches with some hard packed drifts about a foot deep. Some trucks on the lake. Went looking for perch but couldn't find them any where. Lots of walleye in the 16-18 in range, most caught in 10-12 ft water.

Thanks for the report. I haven't seen a perch taken out of there for +10 years. Plenty of pike and Walleye though.

x2 Dave, right about when they shut the walleye fishery down. Used to be big Jumbos in there all the time, now nothing....

Default lac la nonne perch

I was on the ice at lac la none yesterday, just off of birch cove. The fishing was slow but I caught one yellow perch about 9 inches long. Im new to fishing and this was the first perch I have ever caught. I was very surprised to see it because everybody is saying they haven't seen any perch in this lake for several years. At the first opportunity, I registered for this forum to post the story because I thought you guys would like to know. Cheers!
