Default Gull lake / west lake rd

Wanted to Heading to Gull Tommorow , usually drive on the North west Side west lake rd entrance, Was wondering if its safe to drive? Ive got a bad back and dont want to pull my sled by hand?

No problem driving on the ice but snow drifts are deep. Today was very crowded and very slow. I saw total of 5 fish on my camera within 5hrs and nothing by the hooks.

my shack is out there on w lake road now.....driving on is easy....lots of ice....saw fish today.....

slow today at brownlows, one burb and 1 perch never seen any pike

ill be out tomorrow....but from what i hear it is slow......i have never caught a fish at gull so...here i go!!!!!

ill try wire worms....maggots.....but....well see.....

Never fished Gull but have been wanting to try and get some whites (havent target'd them since a youngin fishin with gpa and dad)... wheres a guys best access point? I'm assuming there is going to be quite a few, but some are always better than others...

and whats the ice like recently? thinking of heading there sunday morning wondering if I should be prepared for a hike or what??

On way to gull now, will be fishin' the north end in a double pop up with a blue chevy. If anyone is headed out feel free to pop by for a bs. I will hopefully be posting pics tonight.

Default advice?

I'm thinking of going to gull tomorrow, any advice/directions of which road to take to get in a good spot?

was on w lake road.....gull....saw whites but didnt catch a fish.....booo.....

Was out the re today, caught 2 Whitefish right a way , then Took me quite a long time to nail the last one, was in 9 feet of water over some weeds, Cooper wire worm with 1 maggot

If I remember correctly west lake is just south of parkland. Goes right to birch bay.

*Edit* if you look on google maps west lake road is twp 420.

i was gunna go out today at west lake rd....but i think its pretty slow there....and my buddy ditched me.....did anyone have any success out there? what time do they bite?

Managed to ice a couple today,tough sledding today, not a lot of activity, but got dinner anyways.

Was on the lake for most of the weekend. I would rate it as average, just when you would get bored something would come in. The whites were alot more aggressive yesterday than they were today. Maybe something to do with the weather.

was at gull on wednesday with camera and such, seen 2 whites around wilsons beach, but only caught a pike, only stayed for 4hrs.. went for burbot and didnt even see any of them
