Saturday Videos
saw a lot more fish than we caught, but at least got some video. I will add them as I get them done. This was Jackfish Bay, the weeds are rotting now the water is gone milky and theres a ton of gas, you can see the bubbles and even smell it in the tent. the second pike is one Ive been seeing there for weeks, and caught and released a while back, the white scar is my fault

It was slow for me and the boy too, he managed 1 on the ice and 1 really small perch, seen lots but nothing biting.

swear Im going to get one of the camera cases that look like a fish and put hooks on it! pretty much every time they have to check out or try and eat the camera. keeps it fun though

this guy steals my bait, then sits in front of the camera to eat it, burps, then swims up and looks into the lens like its asking for seconds before it swims off into the murk. no respect at all!

Well, finally made my annual trip to see the great Wayne Christie and his better half Karen. As usual was a blast and great hospitality. Wayne even drove over and got my gear when I refused to drive on. Yup, I danced as I usually do when on the ice. Fishing was slow but it doesn't matter, was still out. Hopefully will hit Gull over the next few weeks before I put the gear away. Thanks Wayne for letting me in your hood. Come to mine sometimes. Will be down for some open water action, hopefully pike on the fly, show ya how its done.

pretty cool vids ! had the same kinda day out at jackfish lake the fish seem pretty docile so how do you record your camera do you have a little dvr hooked up to it ?

got more vids today but will wait til tomorrow to go thru them. another very slow day, saw lots of fish, ended up hitting 3 locations and finally got 3 hammerhandles and missed a couple walleye, at least no skunk for me. hopefully the fishing picks up again by the weekend!

My dumb observation
Hi WC: Thanks for posting these videos, they are great.
Ok. I am going to make a dumb obsevation...I did not know pike can move their eyes. I assumed, that like an owl, they are fixed in their heads.
At one time I owned goldfish and I saw that they could move their eyes...why did I think that pike could not.
Thanks for teaching me something.

I learn from the camera everyday, one of the reasons for owning it. I now know both pike and walleye will kick up a smoke screen (mudscreen) so they can sneak up on their prey. pretty cool to see.
