I agree with you 100%... however face book and other sites like it are not hunter friendly. Way too many tree huggers and bunny lovers on there. When they see those pics it just fuels them to rant about there anti hunting crap and save the animals blah,blah,...I'm on your side, trust me, but it's a tough sell to most of these city dwelling vegetarian hypocrites. post them pics on here we all love em!!

Default I don't get it either..

Just where do these people think food comes from? Leather too? If you add the fact that it's a natural food source heathier and more " Eco" friendly then live stock... make you think. To many of us City people think you get meat from the Safeway. O well, I love seeing the pride and big Smiles on the hunters faces.
Keep your chin up and NEVER be embarrassed about a sport you love.

Never forget when you hunt in Alberta you are effectively a qualified (both provincially and federally licenced) method of population control. Remember how everyone(even the liberals) were ****ed at the culls last winter? No hunting and imagine that times 1000 every year.
Plus, thanks to Alberta boys like Len Mitzel, it's your Right!
Screw'em, you can educate the ignorant, but not the stupid.

Set your privacy settings so only your friends can see you stuff, all the options to only friends. Problem solved. And if your friends give you a hard time well....I think you'll know who your real friends are

As a hunter I like pictures of the animals I have taken and of animals that others have taken. There was a forum that had a lot of pictures of animals that hunters had taken, the one thing that I noticed was the amount of blood that some of the pictures had in them, then there were the pictures of animals with hardly any blood in them. You could even see that some of the animals had been washed off before the picture was taken, also the animal wasn't laying in a puddle of blood. There is blood split while hunting but we could try and not make it so graphic because all we will be doing is upsetting the non-hunters and giving them fuel for the fire.

I agree with you that you should be able to post what ever pictures you want. I too have pictures of me with my deer on my facebook but I have never been told that I should take it down or change it by anyone on there or on my msn. Do you have a bunch of random poeple you don't know on yours? I even have a hunting group for Straight Arrow Outfitters on there and know of alot of other huntings groups on facebook. I have had no problems.

I do know some pictures are extremely graphic and have alot of blood this could be a reason as to why someone might complain but other than that I would think it would just be people you don't know.

You can also change the settings on facebook so that only your friends can see your profile too...that might help solve people complaining.

"Eco friendly" this person has never been to a feed lot before. I would always argue that wild game is far more “Eco friendly” then any mass produced food we purchase.

A while ago I temporarily lost my mind and moved to Calgary ( pukes a little in his mouth )and was in a Planet Organic near where I worked. I was poking around and was approached by a staff member who asked me if I had ever tried organic meat. I started laughing and said I hunt it don't get anymore organic than that. He kinda looked at me and then said he really never thought about it that way and he never really liked the idea of hunting but what I said kinda made sense to him. Maybe I converted a anti into at least a neutral lol. Lots of tree huggers in that city. I tell everyone I hunt and eat wild game cuz if they have an issue with it then its THEIR ISSUE not mine. MY FOOD ALWAYS HAS A FACE!

I don't understand why people need to lay out their whole lives on Facebook, for viewing, by the entire world. Anyone who does so, in my opinion, must have one hell of an inferiority complex and deserve any response they get.

Hey Savage, don't worry about the huggers. Allow me to explain. They love their pseudo-meaty Big Macs because they don't have faces. Wrong........show 'em this.........

Now this may compleatly disrupt their 'munchie' routine...........

.........which in turn force 'em, in their stuppor to head to Wendy's. That's where things go from bad to worse!

Now, you may rest easy knowing that you have TOTALLY messed up their sweet little hugger worlds for a couple of days, or at least until they can get some herbal tea into them and a 'solid' yoga session! Have fun.

My brother in law's girlfirend is always getting on our case for killing innocent animals for "sport". It's like the words ..."it how we keep the deep freeze full..." doesn't even register with her. I've tried expaining the population control aspect as well, to no avail.
I did finally win the argument, however....thanks to a video on youtube from the beef slaughterhouse.

I agree, it doesn't get more organic than going to the bush and getting it yourself. There's a level of respect between us and our quarry that you cannot expain to someone who hasn't been involved. And it's something that you certainly can't find at the Safeway for Burger king.

Default I'm a city Dweller.

[it's a tough sell to most of these city dwelling vegetarian hypocrites. post them pics on here we all love em!![/QUOTE]

Whitetail hunter,
I live in the city. I hunt, fish, camp, photgraph, hike & boat all over the province. I agree, it is a tough sell for people that are unfortunately ignorant. However look at all those wanna be "farmers" that buy a quarter or a 2-40 acre acreage and don't allow access to hunt because they " Love watching those beautiful creatures off their porch or breakfast table window each day".

There are just as many rural dwelling tree huggers & ignoramus's outside in the county as there are in the city!

Come on, snap out of it. It is ourselves, the province and country itself that has to provide more effective ways to educate the public as a whole about the importance of hunting/fishing for conservation purposes.

We supposily live in a free (joke, joke) country so i,ll do my thing and they can do their,s. The problem is we seem to cave into this thing of feeling guilty as soon as someone labels us as something , well to bad , that is when we have to but the pictures on our sites and leave them on.(but be carefull as to how graphic they are)Like Popeye used to say i am's what i am's. Socialism is running rampid. We independant hunter type don't need any one to look after us , we will do it our selves not the government , like it is meant to be.
