I caught a few after drilling a million holes and found a good spot totally unexpected depth to find walleye and pike

We were out there back in late December and had lots of luck for pike and walleye. Takes a bit of time to find them, we eventually found walleyes at about 14 ft, the pike were everywhere. Caught a 78cm pike that was really skinny. One keeper walleye out of about 10 caught. Lost a few as well. So.. not a waste of time in my eyes. BTW we were at Oakes Bay.

Tried last weekend for a bit, went to a spot we were catching pike/walleye last year and it was dead. Caught one 49 cm walleye(of course...) and a couple dink pike but that was it.

I've been twice and it has been very slow compared to years past.
