Default Charging Boat Battery

Hello all. I went out today to hook up the boat for a day of fishing and found my battery was dead. My son had left the Master Power switch on and Ignition Key in the ON position and stereo on.. Guys what is the best charger settings to use, 12V-2A 0r 12V-15A ? Ive attached a picture of my battery charger.

Depending on battery size I would go 2 amp to start with, just charge a new blue top from Costco, 8 hrs to bring it up to full charge, 15 is a little rough on a dead battery as it will boil pretty quick.

How much time do you have, two amp takes a lot longer but is not as hard on your battery.

Since the battery is dead, I would go with the slower 2Ah and let it go until it fully charged. Healthiest charge method is a slow one

I'm putting a small solar panel on my boat just to add some extra charge and in case a guy gets stuck without a plug in

Depending on what your planning on using the small solar panel for, it might not worth the trouble. If your using it to charge a phone your probably golden but for a starting battery you would be much better off getting a small generator.

Or a spare battery? I never hit the water without one.
