Bedded my Bergara .22 today

Yes this is the same barrel; I bought this one as a barrelled action.

+1, really curious if a bedding job will improve rimfire rifle performance. some of the ammo which shot poorly may improve and the stuff that shot well may drop out. rimfire accuracy really makes me shake my head sometimes. I hope it shoots bug holes for you.

Fair enough on the accuracy question; the stock was a blank, so it’s more a case of putting the rifle together by bedding vs bedding an existing setup.

A tip for next time you bed a rifle. Either wax the outside parts of the stock and apply masking tape to make removing overflow easier, or while the Devcon is still wet, use a carved Popsicle stick to remove the large overflow deposits and then paper towel with Hoppes 9 on it to remove the remaining extra Devcon. The Hoppes will leave the outside of the stock completely clean, thus reducing the work of cleaning up the hardened bedding.

This one was cleaned up with a Popsicle stick and Hoppes while the Devcon was still wet.

I use the Devcon to make the Pillar and the bedding. I don't see the point of having two different materials, Devcon and steel or aluminum, with two different expansion and contraction coefficients in the same setup. I just open up the action screw holes and let the Devcon from pillars there. However, you can buy pre-made pillars from lots of places.
