Question Trout fishing with special fixed reels on boat

Hi there, i was just wondering if any of you guys is familiar with trout fishing with fixed reels on boat and if you can suggest me some tips thanks in advance

do you use them as well , and what is your overall opinion as a fishing technique ?do you build it yourself ?

if you check the link, you will notice some alight difference from downrigger...i mean...i know they're slight difference, but in the end , the devil is in the details

The downrigger will have no hook on it to catch fish. Its a mechanical device used to get your lure down to the desired depth. Mainly used for trolling. Once a fish takes your lure then your fishing line will detach from the down rigger line.

wow I had a close look at the article. The method of fishing is different thats forsure.

Its like a big downrigger/pickeral rig LOL

hey Huyfishin, don't you use one of that device up there ? am writing from the lake area up in Northern Italy, i was curious to know if you guys have anything similar....which again is not a downrigger and is not a Paternoster...i mean , i know is a sort of mix thing but i wouldn't be able to describe it (of course am not mother tongue either) ...just curious

Interesting setup for sure. Like HuyFishin said downrigger/pickerel rig. Can almost do the same with a downrigger by attaching clips at different levels. I have not attached more than 2 at a time to mine. Would it be legal here? One down line with five attached separate hooks trolling.
