Default Haig Lake Camping.

Looking for any info I can get regarding the campsite at Haig lake,east of Peace River. Wondering what side of lake its on, boat launching, etc.

It's on the west side of the lake same as the boat launch take the haig lake road until u get to the fire tower turn left go about a mile then turn north go one mile and there u go boat launch is decent Let me know how u make out I was up in the area two weeks ago but fished sawn

can you get a pick up into sawn this year? have not been there in a dozen years, is it still a half mile cutline drive in? (we caught about 10 fish over 15 lbs last time i was in.... camped on the island.

If u have a jacked up pickup maybe but if it rains it would b really iffy. We caught a few over 12 but think the bite was a little off weather was horrible

you ever fish russell lake just north of sawn? (the pike are not huge)...

Pretty much. one native guy hunting moose and two other guys for a day trip.
I've wanted to try Russell but never made it we were suppose to try this year but everyone petered out. Have u been there

never to russell myself, but the lady i used to work with sledded in 15 20 years back and perched it.

If your talking hang, it's very rustic with a few places to set up camp. That's how it used to be anyway. Sawn, most camp on the island.

Don't take my word on it though. It's been 15 years since I've been there. Wait for someone else to chime in that have been there more recently.
