Headed up to NWT and would really like to hook a inconnu, I have no clue where to fish for them though. I hear hay river can be good.

Does anyone have any experience chasing these fresh water tarpon?

From Hay River head east to where the Little Buffalo river enters Great Slave. Fish around the mouth of the river, use spoons, we've had success there this time of year.
