Default Remington 7600

A friend of mine is willing to sell me his Remington 7600 in 308 calibre. It comes with a fixed 4 power weaver scope. The rifle and scope are probably about 28 years old but is in mint condition and has only shot approximately 3 or 4 boxes of shells. He's not sure what he wants for it but would like a fair price. What do you guys think it might be worth?
Thanks,

BIG AL

I beleive but correct if I'm wrong guys but 28 years ago it would have been a 760 Model,, which I have one of in a 270 WIN and it would be 26 years old.. I beleive they changed to the 7600 in the late 80's and in my veiw they dropped in quality quite a bit.. But I would geuss around the $300 - $400 mark with scope...

Walleyes, I do believe you are right, a 760 sounds more like it.

Hey
I would say if you havn't pick it up yet keep looking. Those pumps are a pain. My semi was the worst, it jammed and even miss fired. I had the 3006 and after a day of shooing I would clean it as soon as I got home and there was always un-burnt powder in the receiver.

The 760 is a pump action,not a semi auto.

I merely assumed that you were posting information that you thought pertained to the topic in some way.Since the post is about the 7600 which is a pump action, why would you even bother mentioning the semi auto?
