Henry single shots
I haven't seen a thread yet
https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/single-shot-rifle/
but being a lover of SS rifles I'm pretty stoked about them, especially the 44 mag

Nice looking rifles! Something to kind of fill the vast territory between the H&R rifles and the Rugers. With the short length, handy weight, and the straight grip on the brass models I can see them being a real pleasure to pack around.

A stoked 45-70 load in a 7 lb. rifle could rattle your teeth, I hope it comes with a good recoil pad.
Looks like a good walk around gun.

short length is one of my favorite features of a s/s. My old topper 158 30-30 winchester has a full 22" barrel but has the roughly the same OAL as a lever or bolt gun with an 18" barrel. I love the simplicity and usefulness of a s/s, sometimes I even leave my weatherby and my sxs at home when I bird hunt and bring my s/s 20ga

Is there any other kind?
No recoil pad on the brass models, I also wonder if that action release would smack the web of your hand with heavy recoil. On second thought the .308 might be a better choice than the 45-70.
But to the OP, a 22" bbl on a rifle under 40"... that just might be worth packing more shells around in my pockets for!

I asked about the twist on the 223's and was told they are 1 in 9. Should be able to handle some of the heavier bullets. The one I really hope they make since they already chamber their lever guns in it is the 41 Remington. A 222 Remington, 35 Remington or 303 British would be interesting as well........

A fancier h&r sb2. I just might have to get a few. 45-70 for sure. It would be neat to see a 9.3x74r. Or a 38-55. They need a 30-30 and definitely a .303. Put decent iron sites on every one.
I'm thinking a Canadian price near 6 bills. A bit high considering the fanciest handi-rifles sold for well under four in their last year of production.

If we're gonna talk chambering dreams, I agree with .303 brit, but I'd love to see some 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r as well. A revival of the 405 winchester would also be really neat

I'm guessing, but if the frame and lock-up could handle the 7.62x54r Henry's original release would be including a 30-06.

...and if it could handle the'06 how about a 35 Whelen or 338-06.
Maybe I'm just getting carried away

I wonder if it will even be available here in Canada. I would be interested in the .308, but I think if it were here the price would be closer to $800. to $1000.00.
