Hoping the warm weather at least melts the snow off before it freezes up again, should make for some good ice.

I'm not out but I heard there's lots of people out there and 8 inches of good ice, that's what I hear.

Hopefully Gull is good, because I just found out I can fish on Saturday. So I'm going, good or not! I've fished on 3 inches before, so 9 or 12 is a dream! If there's bad reports today I'll just bring a lifejacket :-) Gotta learn to catch a fricken whitey!

Haha that gave me a chuckle. I may need to add a life jacket to the list of equipment.

Coal was at 7 inches Wednesday morning. Seems everywhere in central Alberta is around that.

was on one of the Brooks area lakes this afternoon, there was a 6 inch deep stream along the shore on the ice and quite a few holes right through, the main body was still good ice. just have to wade out. hopefully it will get cold again before spring! main ice had no water on it courtesy the chinook winds

There wasn't any top water to speak of, only what was pulled up with the auger. Hope this helps

Sitting on 8 inches of clear with 3 inches of white slush ice on top. Was 14 of good ice last weekend. Shores thinner and soft. Peeing rain and stupid windy to turn to snow later. Do not drive on anywhere on the lake!!!! Looks like 3 pressure ridges running from shore to the big island and if you dont have a 4x4 you will only get half way along the bay on the road.

8-10" on eagle by strathmore. No snow, about a 1/2" of water on top. Being your skates! Lots or water coming onto the ice by the nursery from the little spillway resulting in about 4" of pooled water right there. There was a van parked on the ice by the boat launch, just to the south of the cabin.

Was there yesterday fished west side of the lake. Had a 1" layer of slush ice on top then a few inches of flood water below that then around 7" of good ice.

I'm planning on heading to either Lessard or Lac La Nonne tomorrow. Last reports I heard were 7" of good clear ice. I would never think of driving on at that thickness but would it be safe to take the side by side on or would that be pushing it?

Went out to Bruce lake today, deep blue soft spots everywhere. Definitely not ready down here. Cold weather is welcome back anytime now.

We were hoping to pull up a couple walleye but struck out. We did get some nice pike action. Was the first time up there so we were guessing where to go

Fished Haig lake yesterday. 14 inches of ice where we were. No bits. Maybe try sturgeon lake this afternoon. Anybody have luck on sturgeon this year?

Thx tips is one of the most sarcastic rude comments that can be made and is far worse than anything he said, maybe your welcome at sask outdoorsman because your only dragging this place down.
