Default Lac la biche whites

Heading up to llb and thought I might try to target some white fish. Anyone able to give a little guidance for water depth, general areas?

Thanks y’all!

Default Lac la biche whites

There are some dandy whites in that lake, but they are very tough to catch. A buddy of mine lives there, and told me once that he’s only caught a couple over the years, and that was through the ice. If I were to try, I’d use a chironimid fly or a wire worm under a small bobber or indicator, and fish deep. 25-30 of water and suspended 5’ of the bottom. Especially when it’s hot like it is now. I’ve caught them in the summer using this technique in other lakes, but not in Lac la biche lake. Good luck, and let use know if you get some.
