Default Black Nugget Lake

Wondering: Have the trout in Black Nugget Lake perished due to winter or summer kill? Are are there still fish in there?

That lake dies off every winter. By February the sulfur smell from an ice hole makes it unbearable to fish in a tent for more than a few hours. With the low water levels this year and increased pressure of covid I would not surprise me if the lake was already dying of.

Sounds like a failed coal pit reclamation. Kind of sad. Thanks for the info!
I won't be going there for a picnic.
