I will probably go out on the Friday, and try for some perch towards the north side (depending on snow and such), so what would be a good time to meet up on the south end, on Sat? Would be glad to add what assistance I can in setting up stuff there.

Kajijji has one fire pit on one side and bbq on the other 45 gallon drum I think wants 40 bucks for it. Was thinking of buyn it , are they a good set up? And I am sure there will be a BBQ there even if its a little camp one.

Sounds like a set up I used to have.. Worked like a charm...Can use wood or charcoal in the bbq side. I too will be bringing my portable propane bbq. I would look at it myself, but have no garage now to store things like that in..

I'm in for sure. Will bring firewood, buffalo burgers, table and will work on building a barrel bbq. Let me know if anything else is needed.

Cheers,
Alex

Also, if someone decides to get that bbq of kikiji, I have plenty of room to store it. Just a thought.

Been kinda slow at Brownlows ( for me anyways). Might have to load up the Quad and venture out to Wilsons. Always been good for me there for Ling, Whites and Burbs..

Pike, perch and whitefish. If your unlucky you can pick up a ling or two.

Bring a tipup or two for pike, smelts or whatever you use.

For whitefish you need to site fish for them. A tent is a must. Wireworms are the best in this lake. Bring yellow, oranges, reds. I typically only use yellow.

The perch are funny in this lake. I have never found a school of them in deep water. Only a few cruising in about 8-15' of water. Decent sizes, most I have caught are 8-12 inches. Use your typical perch jig with a maggot or perch eye.

I have never fished brownlows. I find it more crowded then up the west side.

Just got back from 3 days of fishing out at Gull. Managed a wire worm grand slam! walleye, perch, whitefish, ling and a jack all on 4lb test and a yellow wire worm. Fishing was spotty over all but still good to be out.

I for one am STOKED for this trip!! I will bring my shack, and Twotwelve guy will bring his Ice Cube. Just curious to know how the cabin thing is working out? I will pitch in for a cabin to stay at with some other board members, most certainly going to be a good time!

Jeff, thanks again for getting this together. Please let me know what I can do to help you out for arrangements. I can bring my charcoal BBQ, but it only fits about 12 burgers at a time, some of you might remember it from the PCR gathering. I can also bring my turkey deep fryer, so we should also get a fish fry organized during the day! I will bring the oil, fryer and frying tools - anyone is welcome to bring their homemade batter mixes or whatever else they would like to fry up - it's open for anyone and everyone to use.

I should also be able to build up a firepit here in my shop. I will get to work on it right away, and will keep this thread posted on any further developments.

Thanks again, if I can be of any help to anyone, or if you are interested in sharing a cabin, send me a PM!

Gibson
