Well boys and girls I have talked with the wife and I am in for Saturday at Gull for sure fro the day. Will talk more with her to see if I can persuade her to let me stay over a night to fish Sylvan the next day but that will be tough with a new 4 1/2 month old little guy.

I am going down on Wed or Thurs, and probably not heading back till Mon, but would be happy to do both the lakes in between. Although only have the one big bed in the back, if someone has a sleeping bag, they could probably bunk with me one night if needed. I keep two in the van, but I like it cool when I sleep, so they are not -50 bags.
Should have all the amenities to survive and eat..haha
Bringing 2 tables actually. 1- 6 footer, and 1- 4 footer.
Will have the little bbq and extra camp stove as well as the one in the trailer.
Will also be bringing 5 gal of bottled water, and 5 gal of Edm tap water, if some is needed.
(Plan on making a short trip to a nice small trout lake that is doing well tight now as well)

Not too sure about this - I'm thinking NOPE DON"T THINK SO.......... however it did seem to work out pretty good for me and your wife the last time you had a bottle of Jamisons....... too bad she won't be there.

Did your your wife tell you I was good at snuggling ????

I know I know your gonna want to try to put my face in a ice hole or many other bad things blah blah blah..... Pretty funny stuff though

Seriously though I'm just pulling your chain, cause I'm here and your not. I know you really miss all the cheap shots and she has a good laugh watching your face turn red, waiting for your head to pop off.

I'm thinking about bringing some kind of mystery meat for the pot luck ( seems to do pretty good at these gatherings and haven't had anybody not like it yet )

Yup . . . I noticed that too. We were planning to go to the show to drool over boats.

Droolin' over boats trumps Gull for me, as I might actually be able to convince hubby to buy one

I quit going to the sportsman show years ago, same old same old, I can see commercials on tv. or I could if I watched tv then they made the trout pond C and r? for hatchery fish? my kids were really dissapointed over that so it was the last straw for me.
Besides, it will be way more entertaining to watch Jeff get outfished by a bunch of little kids, and some of them maybe even with the same pink rod as his!!!

I really wanna join this event, but I'm new to ice fishing.
Is it ok to join for Saturday (Feb6) only?
What things should I bring?
Thanks, Eric

It sounds like the whole family is going to go up with me. Amelia (wife) is going to get her licence this weekend, the kids are real excited to go. My brother mentioned he might come up with us, He is not on AO but, I bet he will want to be once Feb 6 is finished

I doubt i will attend but just wanted to put my 2 cents in. Last Thursday we caught Perch,Whites,Burbot and lost a whopper pike there. Fishing in 12 ft of water seemed to produce the best. Have fun all.

Looks like I'll be there forsure as it looks like a few other's are bring their little ones. The wife says yes as long as I bring the daughter. But as I'm sure you all know sometimes the patience of a 5 year old.. well. But if there are some other kidlets around I think it will be a great time. I thinking the nintendo DS and the dvd player will be in the truck "just in case" see ya all there.
