Boat anchor for the NSR

Asking for advise on what I need to anchor on the NSR?
Cause my good old Danforth c/w 10 ft. of chain & 50 ft of rope is not working.
Moderate current speed / cobble rock bottom / holding a 20 ft Jboat

I use this style of anchor for all my river fishing. If you have a welder and a chop saw you can make one in an afternoon. For a 20' boat the one in the picture is about the right size. Length is about 18" and width is about the same. The trick is to get the right "bend" or angle on the tines. This one was made from 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" solid square stock. It weighs around 30 lbs. This anchor and 10' of 5/16 chain should hold you well.

This same anchor
could give someone a hernia ! Trust me i know....lol
