What do you shoot, why?
Im looking to buy a new bow come next hunting season. Ive been looking at higher end brands. I would like a 2012 model. Which brand do you guys prefer to shoot and why? What are the advantages of the brand you like compared to others?
I know ill have to get out and shoot a couple and get a feel for them but thought it would be good to see what every one else shoots.

I will be shooting a Mathews Q2 XL because I traded an auger for it and am just starting out again.
Not sure what to expect but have been told that it is a pretty good bow and seems quite a bit nice then my old Martin phantom that I started shooting before hurting my back.

I shoot a 10 year old PSE. Still shoots straight. Go for a 2011 model instead and get some better arrows. My frugal two cents

APA Python X. It's smoking fast and very stable. I love the value added features like the knife sharpener, the limb hanger, the carry handle. No vibration and quiet. The total package.

Four out of six of the brands you listed and a couple or few models of each and some brands you haven't listed. Shooting an Elite now. No reason other than change. The responses you get will be personal opinions with little objectivity. They all make good "high end" bows.

HCA Speedpro.....it is lighter and faster than a lot of the other new bows. Warranteed to shoot down to 3.5gr/lb. At 28.5inch draw it will shoot a 380gr arrow @305 fps. with a 7 or 7.5 inch brace height (I forget which it is). The guys at Calgary Archery Center shot a bare shafted arrow @ 480+fps......they tryed to break it and couldn't....

I also shoot an Athens. For me I shoot the Accomplice 34. I like a mid-long ATA and this bow fits the bill. It's fast, light, quite, and very forgiving.
I've shot a Hoyt, a couple Bowtechs but I like the feel of my Athens more.
Also the finish on the bow is awesome, and like Potty said you can customize your bow to how you want it.
To me Athens is a great company and builds and awesome bow!

go shoot all of them young feller. shoot just a few feet from the butt, and shoot with your eyes closed. concentrate on what feels best....of course make sure its sized right for you when you do this. dont get stuck on a name....pick the bow that feels best in your hand. the flagship model of each company is very very close to the next one....differences will be subtle.

Sorry guess I missed the question and the part where you had narrowed it down to these brands already
Just feeling left out I suppose

Im shooting next years Prototype of APA and I can tell you that at 60lbs and my short draw length of 27 inches Im getting 330 out of it with a target arrow at over 5grs per pound. I have shot them all hoyt, Athens, Matthews and this APA is smoother than all I have shot. Besides APA is canadian made so that makes it that much sweeter......

Apa, has always been fast, and a good company. I used to shoot one and don't have anything bad to say about them. Nibal (sp) is a great guy too, and makes a good product !

I figured having a poll with certain brands then asking the question was narrowing it down... Guess I wasn't so good with my wording lol. Sorry!
