Default Coal Lake Sunday

Anyone want to meet at Coal Lake Sunday for a little fishing? We are meeting at the North parking lot at 10 am Sunday. Should be a blast.

I've been driving on the lake since before Xmas, we even had the 1 ton welding truck with a deck and no problems.

I was out there yesterday and not even a bite. Left the lake at dark around 6:30. Water was very murky with a milky tinge to it. Couldn't see anything on my camera including our lures. Is this milky water common for coal or could it have been the runoff from the rain we had all day on us?

Wow....it may have been the rain, I didnt think it was that bad out there tho? Did you happen to move spots at all? same result? I ll try a spot thats unused and see how we do......take the road less travelled (not the ice road)

We were on the south end about 2 km down, almost straight east of that plant on the west side. We never tried any other spots either. Let us know if the milk is back this weekend, and how you made out.

I have a red quad pulling a flat deck trailer with all our crap on it (including a few fishermen) I wont be driving my truck on the ice because the quad is more fun. Drop by we are cooking hamburgers on BBJ`s stove....bring something to add and you ll fit right in.

Fishing was great this morning , Our buddy caught a 38 in Pike weight just under 15 lbs , 14 oz , nice and fat . My sister caught a 26 inch pike , Anvils wife caught a 9 inch perch , RUmtan caught another pike looked pretty good unsure of the size . Fishing was pretty good lots of bites , tip ups went of quite a few times but slow to the draw .

Heres the big pike , more pictures to follow .

Great Meeting Big RAck Lover , fishing with Redneck Posse , Ice anvil , BBJ's sister , Rumtan , and a few others that were there that are non AO members . Look forward to some real fishing at Wabby On the 15th . Bring on the tournament .

Good times indeed,
It was nice to meet you BigRackLover, glad you enjoyed the food, kinda hard to whip up a chili on the ice, hope you enjoyed it. I think next gathering I will have to bring out my BBQ and grill up some steaks or chicken.

Here are a few pics from today.... Our buddy from another forum did rather well.
with this 13.5lbs pike he caught early afternoon.... sorry BBJ I said 15 to you my mistake it was actually 13.5lbs
check it out....

Myself whipping up some Grub, had buns beef stew, Chili meat and cheese trays, thanks Ryan.
