Default You thought u knew Crowsnest Lake.. :)

Went out for a little morning shore fishing, hoping for a walter laker... Then buddy catches...

18 inch brown!

I would have never thought it.

I've caught browns just below Frank... But I didn't expect them to be in da lake!

Lots of action this morning!

And then there were none( Jk).
Heck of a brown, nice brace of fish, gale dodging on birch with boomers all around . Could be running hair off boards with the white caps. Two little bow for my efforts till now not bad for an hour.

So I've never fished that lake, drove by it half dozen times last week....biking not fishing so never stopped.
Seems there's the windy north side and the calmer south side...
Access isn't really great....which side does one fish mostly?

East side is best but access is a problem.

Lots of obvious spots to fish. And the fish do seem to be there.

The one on the left is a small mouth bass and the one on the right is a large mouth bass

I caught a huge laker outa there when I was a kid. Always gawking at that lake when ever I drive by...

Is there boats allowed on that lake?
I also remember camping on the north shore, is the campground there anymore?

Yup.
Boats are very useful. Couple of good launches.

Closest camping would be at island lake about 1k away.
