Chain lakes last years has been stocked with 16000 trout. use a size 10 hook with a quater night crawler on it. use power bait by pinching a split shot ONTO YOUR HOOK and mould the power bait around it. use on tip ups or dead stick.

Ice is good no trouble driving, as for skating as of last weekend the snow was about 1ft deep and covered the whole lake, no drifts. so bring a shovel!

Our day was roughly the same last Sunday although the action really seemed to drop about 11-1.

Was out last Sunday morning with the old man. We caught 83 trout and 4 suckers in a little under 5 hours. The bite pretty much died between 12:30 and 2. Kept 10 to take home ranging from 12 to 16.5 inches. The redbull can in the picture is a tallboy for size reference.

Good to hear!

Typically what do you guys find is the best time to ice fish? I'm not an experienced ice fisherman but for some reason I figured time of day would be less important when ice fishing haha. I'm not sure why I reached this conclusion, because in when I fish open water time of day is everything.
