Default Salmon Fishing With Pat (Gunslinger)

Yeeehahhh!! What a fun day with these guys: Pat, Brian (Pat's Brother), Derian (Pat's son), and Pat's Dad. We had an absolute hoot! Non stop laughter not to mention non stop action.

They went through their rotation about 7 times...equaling hooking into 21 fish...not to mention the many Brian missed that he got ragged about all day haha . Limit out on Coho...all 12-17lbs beauties!!! Derian, all 70lbs of him, caught a Chinook half his size at 34lbs, and Brian (who now is in line to get the first ram on their hunt) got a nice 27lbser...not to mention the hog Derian lost, and the many others Brian and Pat failed to hook Also, Pat's Dad landed a beauty hali around 50lbs on the salmon gear!

What a great day with a great bunch of guys. It is always nice to have guys like this out with you...ones who love to fish, and love to have fun...the latter being most important, which puts less pressure on myself and in my opinion results in more fish.

Here are some pics from the day.

Derian's Hog

Great Family Pic

I'm Pretty Happy Here...Happy Clients = Happy Life haha

Cheers,
David

Today it was Pat's turn to lose a million fish haha. He missed about 10 Chinook hookings...no joke. Wewere probably into 20 Chinook. Brian caught a 44lbser, and 34lbser, while Derian caught a 29lbser and some ncie Coho.

Will post pics all together at end of trip.

And no, we run out of Port Hardy.

Cheers.

Coal harbour wasn't too bad this year. There were many days my Dad headed out that way and had a lot of success. Rupert isn't too bad either...but this year Port Hardy produced better for us than the West Side...which was the opposite as last year.
