As I posted FN should have had the ability to apply online no argument there

But really it’s not an argument against equal rights. Reality is if FN wish to apply for the same draw as everyone as they could do so using the same tools as everyone else’s

It doesn’t make sense that FN had to apply for the FN only draw in person but really think about the fact there even is a FN draw that no other race can apply for. Pretty clear there is still a race based favoritism to FN

Personally I respect that there is treaty rights that allow this and don’t hold that against FN hunters. But not for one second do I agree that it is right that one group has race based hunting rights. I am in full support of all hunters being equal and wildlife be managed for healthy populations we can all benefit from

Sure I can agree the FN draw application doesn’t make sense and can except there is treaties that give FN different hunting rights. I would even understand if FN pushed for the ability to apply online

But really it’s hard to have pity about the application process of a draw that only FN can apply for. It’s not like you are excluded from applying with everyone else if the FN draw is unfair

Default Bison Guide

Hi bison hunters. Soon you’ll know who was drawn. As I remember very clearly when my daughter was drawn then miraculously the next year I was drawn! It is an amazing hunt that can be as easy as driving down the road to tracking for 50 km or more in horrid weather and short daylight hours. If there is really deep snow, then it can be simply awful. But when you do finally kill one….then what? An old bull bison on the ground is like two of the biggest moose you killed in one pile! It can be a daunting adventure. One of the characteristics of bison is that if they decide to go for a walk, they can go a LONG WAYS. And when they go through a willow swamp that is 5 miles long with 2-3 feet of snow….then what?
There are a lot of logistical issues and knowing the area and the people who live there make a difference. I promise you.
Starting with my daughter and then myself and the information I gathered I have gone on to guide 11-12 people over the years to their bison. I love the hunt. I don’t charge much. And I’m a wealth of information. If you are blessed enough to get drawn, or know somebody who has, feel free to message me. There are lots of guys here who would never need a guide but some people get drawn who simply couldn’t never succeed without help. I’m the help.

A friend/hunting partner drew, and he will do whatever it takes to legally fill the tag.

I can guarantee he will get one. No one does more or hunts harder than that guy.

Where are the results showing up? I couldn’t find them on RELM and haven’t got any emails. I applied online through RELM, got a confirmation of payment to email. Checked junk folder etc, nothing yet.

Were you checking just on the app, or on the RELM web site?

My son applied, and he didn't see the results on the app, but was able to see it on the web site.

I wouldn’t overthink it unless it became a trend

It has trended, once upon a time, in a sheep zone far far away....
That may be where the suspicion comes from

Oh I would not be overly surprised there was issues in BC with sheep draws in the past. One tough sheep draw was almost always a bio or CO.

I just hate feeding into suspicions till there is a trend or evidence because it seems everyone wants to assume fowl play on the internet too quickly

No, I didn't even apply, as I am awaiting surgery on both shoulders, and I have also had some back issues that I don't want to aggravate. I am done with hunts that could get physically tough, I have had my share.

That’s fair. Sorry to hear about the shoulders. Quick recovery after, elk!

Thats the first thing i thought of when i heard the news. He got a lot of hate mail over it. People made accustions it was rigged.. I think either that draw or the Bison should be once in a lifetime draw.
