Default New Hunting movie

So, cruising through a online site last night and I stumbled across a new move made By Netflix called "Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter"

Some ok sized names in it.
Josh Brolin is the lead along with 2 others that I actually recognized.

Not a great movie, but its worth watching. a few laughs and it actually got kinda exciting.

I found the hunting camp jokes and scenarios ring close to home. The want for a father to be like him hit the nail DEAD ON. The hunting scenes were brutal at best but still worth it.

Go watch it.

Jamie

There's another hunting related movie on Netflix at the moment I watched last night called Calibre.
It's about two friends going to rural Scotland for a hunting trip that goes really bad, that's all I can say without a spoiler. The hunting trip is just to get the story going, but it's one of the better netflix thrillers in my opinion and worth watching.

Hate to be this guy but I thought it was terrible. Made hunters look like drunk savages. The actual hunting scenes were terrible like you mentioned and the story was junk.

I watched this and thought it was alright, kind of dry and predictable.

Yeah I watched the trailer after it was mentioned in the hunting forum.
No thanks. Movies have to be beyond great for me to waste anytime on the couch. The movie trailer looked like it was portraying hunters as dumb uneducated slobs.

I agree. Havent seen the movie Jamie mentioned yet.

My partner was watching that movie Calibre a week ago

In the roughly 20 minutes I sat there, I saw stereotypical Scots drinking, hooking up with bar babes.

Not that there’s ANYTHING wrong with that, but its just not a hunting movie.

I didn’t see it all so I cannot rate it

I CAN rate the brunette bar chick tho.....not a goddess, not even striking. More cute/foreign/comfy looking

Its a comedy.. And actually it really does show a father and son coming together. And the way they made the TV host look and the filing of the show made me laugh.

Watched it last night. A movie that if watched by the non hunting public will reinforce the stereotypical impression many of them have that hunters are bumbling uneducated goofs.
