Default Young bull moose pictures

Got this young bull on camera following a cow, seems a week or 2 early, but with the weather being cool and all, He has those same scabs on his rear legs like I've seen on quite a few moose on camera, not sure what it is.

moose flys. They attack that area on moose and it can get so raw they actually turn raw with red blister like appearance. I can't remember who it was that brought this to our attention from trail cam pics last year.

Cool pics! AO mag / Rob did an article a couple of years ago about those bumps on their legs... I think they are fly eggs like Lil stated.

a friend got some pics of a bull in 511 that had the back of his legs all cut up and bleeding from wolf. Don't know how he managed to escape.

I don't think that it is ringworm, me and a friend of mine shot a deer that had it a few years ago and it looked like it had open sores rather than bumps as well it was everywhere around the leg not just on the outside so I'm thinking the flies they have been bad this year.

Lesions are caused by moose flies. For good synopsis see:
