Default Edson/Peers Area

Heading out this weekend with the warm weather hitting and get one more kick. Any one have any reports on Fickle SW of Edson or Bear, Horseshoe & Long or Shiningbank NE. Mainly heading out for Perch. Also what are driving conditions on any of these lakes. Have a 4WD SUV. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thks

Was to Fickle mid Feb some flood ice but went down to point on right no whites came back by dock no whites went next morning no whites 1 party got 4 walleye and released 1 was 4 lber .. whites must still be deep usually get 1 .. Big pike were not moving allthough they should be moving now if Badger is a tell..like any day fishing if you find the right shelf and they are there .. hang on to your toque!!!! lol my hands have scars from line cuts

I fished Bear 4 years ago and the lake produced lots of mid sized perch and the occasional jumbo. The lake also had some big walleye in it and some fair sized pike.

Unfortunatley, that lake winter killed in late winter of 2008.

Two years after the winter kill, there were still no sightings of perch, though there were alot of hammerhandle pike being caught.
