Spring 2013 Chironomid Swap
Well this swap was mentioned as coming up some point soon after the first swap of the year was organized and completed. I've waited patiently. I'm done waiting. I'd like to host a Spring Chironomid swap. Lets keep it simple and straight forward. First 12 members to sign up are in. 12 different colour combinations would be good. All should know the drill by now. Sign up and state what you intend to tie, tie 12 bugs, toe tag them with your forum name, send them to me along with a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll send you back some sweet additions to your lineup. I'd like to get this done quick so we can go about hooking some fish with these chironies. I'd ask you have all envelopes sent to me no later than May 27th. Hopefully the swap will fill fast, I'll receive all envelopes sooner and back out to all even before the deadline. Thank you in advance for your participation.

If we don't get enough people for this swap, may I suggest we supply 2 of the same tie since chironomids are easy to tie.
This way we'll have an extra one if we lose it on a snag, snapped off, etc.
Just a thought...

could do runny. that or simply try again another time and see if there's more interest then. you guys that have already joined decide and let me know. i'm cool with only sending out to 5 guys if there's no more interest.

I've ran into a few hatches of these, and they also work well as an attractor pattern. I caught a few nice Tigers on these last summer so I have a sweet spot for them. Enjoy!

Thanks CanAlta. I've messaged my address to all participants that have joined thus far. JR has asked to join as well. If we don't fill up the last four spots by the dead line, I'll look at tying up the extra chironies needed in various colours to fill the swap and make sure everyone gets their 12 different flies as the swap was intended. I'd rather it fill up on its own though. Thanks again to the participants.

JR took a break from tying streamers today. His Chromies are ready to go. Still have four spots to fill. had a package hand delivered today, just to make the deadline. pretty solid move. nothing showed up in the mail yet this week, postman must be fishin? no reply from my PM sent the other day from one participant, not sure what's up there. i'll wait for all that said theirs are on the way and make a call once they land. regardless everyone will receive nine flys back. i won't let this drag out waiting, 06/16 is near. JR and I will burn some different ones up if need be to send out.
