highway 541

I've looked on line but I can't get the info I want. Does anyone know if the 541 is open. I've heard a few rumors that its open to the kananaskis boundary . I've also heard that its closed at longview.

Also....has anyone seen the highwood near longview? Is it a total blow out?

Hiked up there last weekend. Highway west of Longview is open to the K country boundary. Road blocks are up just past the Highwood group campsite - no vehicle traffic beyond that. Sentinel parking area/trailhead, a few miles along, is gone as is half the highway. A little further along, at Eyrie Gap, the highway is gone for 400 yards. Could be a long time before these places get fixed.

"Highway 541 is open to West of Kananaskis County Boundary, allowing access to campgrounds in the area for the long weekend. The rest of the highway remains closed. Eden valley bridge on local road off Highway 541 open to one lane un-restricted traffic."

Last update June 28, I think they'll remove it from the website as soon as it opens.

Has anyone been to Cataract creek? Did it suffer the fate as the rest of the area.

yep it did the bridge and campground are destroyed

Bump...anyone been down hiway 541 this weekend? How was the water? Is it clearing up? Any recent pics?
