Default Calling Rod builders

I'm hoping that there are a few experienced builders here that could help a noob out with sourcing components for rob building. This winter I ordered an all in one starter kit from Mudhole and started building ice rods for something to do.

I have built a couple simple rods to get started and would like to buy some more components to add some more character to my next blanks. There are a bunch of handle parts and pieces in different colors by CRB that I have found on Mudholes site but the exchange and high shipping costs are not attractive.

I have done a few search's but cant seem to find a Canadian source? Anyone have a good Canadian source for this stuff and any tips on good Alberta rod building suppliers?

Thanks
Hilgy

Try:

Custom Rodbuilders Inc.
7130 Willis Point Road
Victoria, BC V9E 2A1
Tel: 250-544-8880

Very helpful when I needed to replace some stripping guides on a couple of fly rods.

Fish tales fly shop in Calgary might be able to help as well. They put on courses and have a bit of supplies

I have ordered from these guys but with the exchange it's getting a bit expensive now.

They do have some good sales on close out items at times.

You didn't ask but I really like St Croix rod blanks and have made a bunch of rods using them and have been quite pleased.
