Default 6br feeding

I have a savage rifle which I had put a McGowan 6br barrel on and it shot awesome but was only a single shot because it wouldn’t feed. I got tired of this and put the 308 barrel back on. The McGowan is now just sitting around, if anyone is interested. Anyway I recently got a 6 lug Weatherby which I had wanted for a long time, it’s awesome, and I still really like the 6br and noticed that the Weatherby barrel is very close to the feed ramp, no lug abutments being between the feed ramp and barrel, they being in the sides and over top and farther back.so I tried feeding the 6 br cartridges in it and they fed fine, 2,3,4 or upside down
