Well hopefully Sierra doesn’t mess with a good thing. The rest of it, time will tell.

Sierra and barnes seems like a good match.

Sierra has no bonded or controlled expansion bullets.

Without a succession plan, it can be hard to transfer a business. Especially when its worth more than kids can afford.

Lefty Marlins?

A Ruger Gunsite Scout in .450 Marlin?

Pipe dreams and such, but I'm sure Marlin can only profit from being in the hands of a company with a genuine interest in making quality products - not that the newest Marlins have been bad.

Quite the story on how Remington got to the point of the bankruptcy, plenty of financial shenanigans here;

Remington being just one example of how financial manipulation has destroyed our economies. something has to change, but not likely.

Seems like a good pick up for Sierra. Hopefully they expand the Barnes originals offered.

Looks like this is where everything went...

Now Remington's guns and ammunition businesses has been sold off to various bidders:

Ruger got the Marlin firearms business.
Vista Outdoor paid $81 million for the Remington brand ammunition business.
Sportsman's Warehouse purchased the Tapco parts and accessories business.
Sierra Bullets bought the Barnes ammo business for $30 million.
JJE Capital Holdings, which placed a $65 million stalking horse bid for Remington to kick off the auction process, acquired various firearms and accessories manufacturers.
Investment company Roundhill Group acquired the historic Remington brand of guns, for $13 million.
Franklin Armory bought the Bushmaster brand.
