What do you consider to be a pale coyote ? 3 of my best from this year , be interesting to see what NAFA gives them as a grade .

my guess is GC'S across the board, middle might be MED,one on right is close to a top lot IMO, I's GC-1-2 guess.

Please define your term, "Pale"... by what definition? There's the NAFA catalogue, then there's the rest of the world. In the NAFA catalogue you will only see the "Top Lot" with a pale description attached and accompany 8-12 skins which vary in coloration from sale to sale depending upon which fur grader assembled the lot.
In the rest of the world, an A-B western heavy Canadian/USA coyote is generally deemed pale. Read the fur market reports, references to "...pale western goods..." is a broadly used term.

Nice looking pelts right there! I don't know what a Pale looks like so I'm gonna have to go with *I (or SEL) GC 1-2 for the two on the right as well. The one on the left looks lighter but I can't really see it too well.
I've been told that the white in Pales is so bright that it "glows". What do the bellies look like?

Check out the drawings here for comparison:

Your pale coyote there's is more than pale enoug to be called a pale. It is hard to see the hair in the photo to make a grade call.

I've said it before somewhere, I have difficulties locating those snowball coyotes in the samples. I wish they would take the XPales and grade them out on their own and call them what they are
