Just coming to check here for a post...Amazing Father to his son Wayne,

A huge inspirational story that made me tear up as I seen the tribute on Sports net as the Flames game finished...

RIP Walter...Never forgotten

Default Walter Gretzky

Canada's most humble hockey dad. Most of Canada will be touched by his passing.

Ain't that the truth.

No hockey dad more famous than Walt in this once great country.

RIP Walter....condolences to the Gretzky's....let the celebration of life begin....watching the tv and reading about Walter...we all knew of him...some more than others but wow he was involved in a sport that our nation truly adores.

Like Wayne said there is no better feeling looking up in the stands after scoring a goal and seeing your mom and dad....now dad is with mom.

Condolences, met him a few times when I worked for the National Film Board, a really nice guy and an inspiration to Hockey Dads out there.

Condolences to the Gretzky family, Walter was a good man and a great father, he did a lot for minor hockey in Ontario and Canada in general. RIP Walter

Kinda like what 58 said, you would have to be from the moon to not know who Mr Gretzky was.
A true Canadian legend.

Rip.
