Default WMU 108 Trophy Pronghorn success

my hunting partner was drawn... After a summer spent finding and then watching the goats and locking down permission, we had come up with a hitlist of 4-5 bucks he wanted to take. we set our sights on one buck in a particular spot for opening morning but much to our dismay someone had beat us to the spot, even though we got there well before shooting light. we went to plan B and started walking to an area where we had seen another buck on our list the day before (sunday). after walking almost a mile we sat down to glass. it only took about 10 minutes before we spotted "twister". he was about 800 yards away and moving to a small saddle between 2 hills where he eventually bedded down out of sight. after planning our stalk we made our move. we got side wind from his location and after crawling up to the top of the hill I saw him laying right where we thought he would be and he was only 70 yards away!. we got in position and waited for him to get up...

Default There is more to this story folks..

Hello friends, thank you for the kind words it was a hunt of a life time indeed! What my humble dear partner forgot to mention is that he also was successful on the first morning of his "trophy" non-trophy antelope hunt. Unfortunately by the time this season started it seemed all the goats in our area were extremely jumpy, however Clarki managed to get into a group of does at 80 yards and concluded our epic adventure with one of the finest kill shots seen in my professional hunting career...
Thank you folks for your comments and thank you Clarki..

Taipan
