Default Looking for recommendations for fishing in Vallarta

My wife and I are heading to Vallarta in January and seeing if anyone has a fishing charter they would recommend for the area. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Default Go to Punta de Mita

Book with Erasmo Valencia (google erasomo tours).Take a Taxi (or local bus) 45 min north to Punta de Mita. Any guide out of Vallarta will waste over an hour getting to that same area and you are wasting valuable fishing time.

My wife and I have been out with Erasmo half a doz times and he is AWESOME! We have 2 (fly fishing) trips booked with him beginning of Jan - one of the only guides that guides fly fishing trips in the area, but he guides for gear as well (probably guides more gear folks then fly)...

If you require more details, PM me. I can send you photos or look at his instagram feed.

He has great boats and speaks English. He is always super excited and knows his stuff!

Highly recommend him (FYI, I am a Fly fishing guide so I am particular with who I recommend)!

Peter

Default guys day out on the water

Not a fly fisherman but regular gear would be fun. My wife would have no interest in leaving the beach to go fishing but maybe if it was coordinated a few of us could team up in January.

I fished with a boat named "La Cindy" a couple of winters ago. We caught a 450 lb marlin and a couple mahi's. Awesome boat and crew. The boat is owned by a guy in Lloydminster and he charters it out when he isn't personally using it. Go to the marina in PV an you will find the boat there.

Ahhhh yes!! I guess that's an important point to consider...

Do you want to fish for inshore species or deep sea?!

Erasmo does offer the deep sea experience as well!!

But we have only hired him as a fly fishing guide for inshore...
