A great weekend it was. We had a total of 7 guys and gals out in our group at various times throughout the weekend. 3 boats and lots of fun. EZM came by our campsite for a bit to talk fishin by the fire for a bit and lots of fish were caught. I would guess about 100 lakers and 1 gator. 3 lakers were over 75cm.
I landed 2 of them, both jigging and buddy got his jigging as well.
Lots of these fish were caught trolling. My Scotty Downriggers worked perfect, all my scotty rod holders were great as usual and no issues with any of the products.
My new Lowrance HDS Carbons were out of this world. They worked great and the 3D was a really cool new feature which will take a bit of work to tweak and get using more.
When ever I was trolling I was using new to me lures. I was testing out some new Northern King Lures. They were acquired by Albertas own Len Thompson Lures over the winter and they have been shipped out their first shipment to distributors. They worked awesome, a light 4 1/2" trolling spoon that has a wobble that's amazing. Every color combo I used was a hit. My favorite is the Homeland Security Glow.
Here are some of the highlights from the weekend. Completely ice free by Sunday night.
