Omg, swarm of angry ants with tipped toothpicks...unreal footage. Im not sensitive but there r some tough seconds in there...still more humane than toothed predators like wolves and coyotes that pack up to take bigger animals down but close...at least they end it in minutes where dog packs can run into the hours. The rifle ends it in seconds, even bows.

What many of us would consider cruel, every one of those natives consider it being able to eat for a while.
Very interesting how different people perceive things, I had a person say once that hunting should be banned world wide because it was cruel.
He didn't have an answer when I asked him about primitive people and their hunting methods.

Tough to see compared to a rifle. Be some extra tough meat there.

I wonder what angry hippo tastes like? That is some crazy hunting, when the alternative is starvation, I suppose I'd use any means nessisary too.

haha ya the old days there for sure!

Looks like a real good chance of getting speared by the second wave if you made a quick retreat around the ol hippo hole...

No Kidding, especially if half the base is closed and it's first rifle season. Annex is a great place to get away from the madness.

Unbelievable? No.
Fascinating? Yes.
Graphic? Maybe for a MEC website.

I remember watching this years ago. Nothing has changed in my pespective.

What you are witnessing is the secret to human evolution obtaining dominion over most of our environment. Social and technological skills allowed for increased protien intake, giving the resources for humans to develop larger brains thus further advancing our social and technological skills.

If it wasn't for scenes as shown in the video, humans would still be hiding in the trees, or extinct.

Wonder what outfitter they were using. Haha. Great video. It's always amazing to see how they did it in the days before gunpowder and with a genuine need for food. We're pretty spoiled. Who's up for whitetail spear season??

I don't know how hungry I'd have to be to be getting close enough to those buffalos to throw a spear at it.....

Might be a bit bloody but the animals were dispatched pretty quickly, well as quickly as could be expected with the weapons used

I would think the real graphic video would be watching that many hunters trying to spilt up a thirty pound antelope. There had to be a couple of hundred guys chasing those little guys, that was crazy.

You are bang-on about the penetration. Have they never heard of Barnes? Those little buggers must be using Bergers. Stupid fools.
