How do we post pictures on here with Photobucket gone?
Is there away other than imgur or a 3rd party hosting site that may do the same as pbucket did?

I use Tap-A Talk, but it (or my tech skills) are not reliable.

I have always used this forum's method.
I use paint ,and convert the images to pixels.

What I do is attach the image to my post and paste the link to the image in my post, i.e.
Code:
[img]link to image[/img]
I think this is the best way to do it, unless you have a very high resolution image you what to show "as is". I think this is the best way because these images will only go down only when this forum shuts down; by then nobody cares anyway.
For example, take a look at my post #7 in this thread. That is the most recent one i did it in.
Oh yes, I did it here as well with someone else's image.
Pretty sure i did it the same way in some blueberry or something thread and it works great, IMO. most of the time we do not need to post gigantic images where you can distinguish between the pimples on anyone's face, so i think it works just fine. You do not to need to register and create account or whatever anywhere else if you do it that way.

I use Tapatalk for AO and postimage for CGN. Tapatalk is much easier when posting pics from an IPad as they can be lifted directly out of the photo bin, and fortunately AO supports Tapatalk. CGN does not support Tapatalk so I use postimage. It is also pretty easy, but pics must be uploaded to the postimage site first similar to photobucket. I suppose there is some risk in storing pictures with the host as they could decide arbitrarily someday, they want money (like photobucked)....and wipe out every pic ever posted unless you pay the ransom.

I read Dicks thread, followed the instructions and it didn't work. Then I followed them correctly and it worked. It's a bit weird but once you figure it out it's simple.

after you put the link up, go back and edit the post, change url to img on both sides
[img*]https://s223.postimg.org/fajxgf97z/zap.jpg[/img*]
(without the *'s)
I use DIRECT LINK on postimage

I tried it a different way. It seems to work here and on CGN. Weird to get used to after using photo bucket.

Manage Attachments
This is the easiest way, easy peasy-images remain on your computer & no third parties.
In the "Message" window select the paper clip icon and the “Manage Attachments” window appears.
Top left is the “upload file from your computer” heading and right below it the “Choose File” button, click it and source the file you wish to post, click choose and the file name will appear next to the “Choose File” button.
Steer your mouse over to the far right and click “upload”. Once it uploads, you’ll be able to see it in the “Additional Options” window under “attach files”-click the “submit reply” button and your post and your image go live.

Cat...for photo image..... using an IPad.
In PI.....Upload>choose image>done
You can then go to all the pics you have uploaded (gallery) and on the top left select "share"
That will open a page to give you some options.... on the right of the line that says "hotlink for forums ... click the icon and it will flash "copied"
THEN
Open AO post you want to create or post in > tap the yellow icon > it will open a box asking you to enter the URL of the image > double click inside the box and choose "select" and then click "paste".

I had used Photobucket a few times, found it is easier to post straight off my computer, which is a windows10 PC. I just use the manage attachments button on here, browse (your computer), go to pictures or downloads on my computer, depending on where it was stored, select the folder I want, hit open, select the pic I want, hit open, go back to AO and hit upload images, the upload appears and I add more if that is the case, can hit preview to look at them if you want, or just submit them. Only a couple of forums I have been on, seem to be a pain to do that on, CGN being one.
