Default Prince Rupert

Hey Everyone,

Am heading to Rupert next week and was wondering if anyone had heard how the fishing was, or cared to offer any tips!

Thanks!!!

Be sure to let us all know how you did. I'm also heading out fishing June 9-14 near Port McNeil.

We were just up there on the long weekend to drop off the trailer for the summer . I had a quick talk with a friend that guides up there, they had been out for 2 days and had landed quite a few smaller Chinook 8-12 lb and about 6 in the high 20's - low 30's . Prawns are plentiful as well as crab . We will be back up June 4th for 5 weeks should be picking up by then.

If you have some time, go to Haida Gwaii and explore. If you have a decent 4x4, go up to Rose Spit.

I am going next week too, have never had a bad trip. This is my fifth year fishing there, 3rd on my own boat. Are you taking your boat or using a charter service?
I am hoping we get some great weather, will head North off Dundas into Alaska and see of we can get an extra 2 halibut each. Woohoo!
