Default Edmonton area ice thickness??

Thinking of going out to spring lake tomorrow to kickoff the season...anyone been out to any pothole lakes around there yet?? If so how's the ice...just gonna be walking with a toboggan

All potholes should be safe, as I was on Chickakoo 3 weeks ago now when it was 2".

But with all this snow, who knows.

Stocked Trout aren't even worth it, I'm waiting for my walleye tags to be filled at Anne, then I'll be at Wabamun everyday I'm off. Gonna find the eyes there this year.

I would think all the small pothole trout lakes anyway are around 4-6" of ice at least around the outside and always out. I wouldn't be crossing yet nor do I really ever need to but they should all be getting good now. Where I was it was about 5"

There was lots of guys in tents on hermitage this past weekend so I would think its good by now
