Just checking. How has the fishing been at Kootenay Lake for this time of year? Up top or down rigger, or both. Planning a trip soon. Thanks!!

I'll go get him,,, he's stuck in general discussion,, he's Scottish so he's really hard to understand,, it takes practice.
Last I heard are silver and black bucktails trolled between 25 and 40 feet.
I'll go get gunner, hold on.

Sorry guys nothing recent , stayed in AB for my week off chaaing mr WT and his big cousin. This coming moon will be prime , black and purple together for hair, greens and crome, purple for gear. I dont do slow, but big lipped stuff very slow catches in winter. We have some water doggers on here somewhere.
This is a great time for pulling hair white horses as far as the eye can see or like a glass billiard table. Good "chained"planers let you tune for conditions.

this is your guy twisted wrist,,, you know those old black and white films set in robin hood days and there's a tavern scene? Watch a few films like those and you'll understand gunner in no time.
Good luck on finding a glass billiard table, rapala may make them but not sure on white horses but I'm sure you could send a marlin gaff to someone with a giant vise to tie one for you.

Ninnies, ill tell ye whit, ill tell ye this ,whit im trying to say is . The lake can be very changable having planner boards with ajustable angle of attack can be crucial to maintaining a good action with hair or hockey sticks . Over the variety of conditions one can experience in winter.

Fishing is Good! Both surface down to 100 feet. Start trolling a 2.5 mph & slow down gradually till you hit.
Photo from earlier this month.
