Default November Icefishing

With the recent cold snap, it has froze up the lakes early. With 3" to 4" of clear good ice we made our way out to our fishing hole. Its so clear, it's hard to see what your walking on at times. First fish of the year was a little pike. After that the walleye were biting . We caught 7 walleye and 2 pike all together. I kept a 23" for supper. The rest were released. The five of diamonds and slip bopper are picking up where they left off last year. It's going to be a great season.

Nice stuff bud! It sure feels good getting out for the first time back on the ice I went out yesterday too and had one of the best trips I think I'll have in a long time. Good luck on your future outings

A few from today (Sun). What a day in Southern AB. The fish made it even a better day. They were slamming the bobber down at the end of the fall. Biggest was 24".

I miss that crystal clear southern Alberta ice - all snow covered up here most of the time with enough weight to sag and create a wet mess most of the time.

Would also be nice to have a walleye or two for supper sometimes too .........

So true... though occasionally it freezes before it snows and there's a good base. I think this year will be another year of layered slush and ice up north.

Default Glenrose lake

Hi all I'm new to this site and I consider myself a avid fisherman. I have read a lot of posts of a glenrose lake and I've tried looking for said lake online and asked around and no one seems to know where this lake is! Does anyone know where this lake is!?! My son who is 6 truly enjoys pulling perch out of the ice and does so with great finesse and enthusiasm! Can any one help me out? Thanks

Those fish are top shelf !!

Now instead of the " AO wing night " we need to get some volunteer AO members stationed around Dago's house to follow him to the secret lake!!

Someone send me a pm once we find out the lake

Dodger.

Guess who I found out on the lake. He can smell out the good fishing. WC. The walleye were biting light today. We lost as many as we caught. I think we landed 20 walleye and 2 pike. Wayne caught the biggest at 22 inches and fat. The were turning there nose up to the five of diamonds and taking a jig with a minnow or just a snelled hook with a minnow.
