Default How do you setup your Ice tent??

Hey all, after all your help on my recent thread on tents I made a decision to purchase the fish inn from costco. price was good and loved the return policy there. Although Im hoping i never have to return it lol. However now that I have that part covered Im curious as to how you all have your set up inside the tent. Basically just curious on where to drill holes for two people as well as camera holes or tables chairs, shelves, anything I should take into consideration would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help!!

I drill two holes in my tent on one far wall, one for my cam and one for a perch/whitefish rod, and have my little table with my camera monitor on it, oitside i drill two holes 5' apart, one for my camera to watch my tip up rig thay goes in the next hole ...

I mainly use tip ups anyways, so rarely am i actually fishing in the tent, but when the perch or whites are around i will lift a tip up so i can ise my perch rod

We use cam buckle straps from CT to anchor the walls if it's windy, to prevent the walls from blowing in. They double as good straps to hold everything into your sled if you're walking in somewhere.

Make sure to shovel snow around the entire skirt of the tent to prevent wind from coming in and to block out as much light as possible.

Don't forget foam interlocking floor panels! Costco sells them for about 30$ a pack if I remember correctly. Insulating the floor will make it much warmer and more comfortable in general.

Great input from all of you, thank you again its beyond appreciated. I'm semi new to ice fishing and this will be my first full season with all my own gear (shelter, auger, heater, fish finder etc) So was wanting some "professional" opinions from guys who have done this for years as to how to manage all my gear, camera, fish finder etc. while keeping it comfortable and safe for anyone im out with. Wil definitely take these tips into consideration!!

MB....

I have a Clam Command Post 6X12 and I have worked out a lot of the kinks you are debating. I was planning on drawing you a diagram on something simple like MS Paint...but for some reason, my Paint program has disappeared from my computer!

WTF?

I will see if I can either fix this or d/l something else to replace it...

then I will get that layout diagram together for you. Try it out and see how it works for you.

I would also recommend setting up (if you have the space) somewhere in your house or garage and then just move stuff around.

BTW....you will love the amount of space you will have!

Yah a diagram would have been nice but that's okay. I appreciate your efforts. In getting super ezcited to test this out now with all my gear and whatnot. Now if I can get some time off work to actually get out that wpukd be great. Next weekend i think at a local pothole lake to test new auger and shelter. Thx again
