Eagle Lake would be a great spot for sure. It is also on my list as well. Hoping to make it back to Lake Ni****ing. Been way too long since been there. Bigger the better cause Musky don't like small. You choose colors. From what you have shown they are good looking. Big Green BuckTails, Redish body and red rubber tail, silver minnow style, split body type. You make and I take. And yes please PM me when you make

The funny thing is my smallest lure was the biggest hit in cedar lake but it’s still 6 1/2 inch without the tail. Talking with one of the guides in the area he was mentioning it was because they feed on a lot of perch and Cisco of similar size. He was a big fan of mid sized musky lures but mentioned time of year and lake he is fishing play a roll too. He mentioned if I hit Eagle in September go big for sure as they are targeting big meals to fatten up

We will talk more later on musky and lures.

Sounds good Mr. I so much miss those beast's.
I still have an 8 inch perch hard body that I haven't used in many a years. Pretty sure it scares the walley's round here LOL
Looking forward for your inventions. Like a kid in a candy store when it comes to lures. GIMMY GIMMY GIMMY
Just let me know when it will happen.

Great name. You can put the name on a white panel van and drive around neighbourhoods slowly for free advertising.

It’s a very different market where $40 is a cheaper lure and fisherman spend $100 on lures at times. Quality durable lures coming from smaller builders are in higher demand than mass produced brands like Rapala

If North America had the same respect for pike as they do in Europe it would be different but it’s only a small portion of pike fishermen that invest into lures like that here.

Here Jr I found a tail in my lure room with long enough hair to make a bucktail for an example

This is a double #8 but becomes a stagger blade do to fluted blades being larger. For those who have never fished this style of lure it has a different and stronger vibration than a single blade

The stuff that is tossed out there is simply a piece of art and huge.

Some great YouTube vids on what people use and catch huge musky/pike on.

But like once said even an elephant will eat a peanut.

To each their own and realize big fish will eat small things at times but there is reasons I use and make what I do.

Thumbs up

Perhaps just your initials and Lures at the end?
Therefore if you ever branch out to other types of lures you can run the same name not specific to targeting just one species of fish.
Tuff gig to get into market wise as there are so many out there making lures etc seems many dabble in other items related to fishing to like clothing etc
New a fella in Moose Jaw in the 90’s that started off very small and worked his way into outfitters camps/lodges etc and his wife got into the clothing line....both took it into retirement and are doing well especially now with the internet etc.

Either way best of luck on this adventure.

I do agree that I don’t want to choose a name that limits me too much but I still want something that still applies to my lures or personal meaning

As you can imagine I know a fair number of people in the industry a few have developed into bigger brands, some sold out to other companies, some it’s strictly a side gig and others make an ok living at it. I have had some long conversations with people I know involved in the industry here in Canada and the US.

There is definitely a huge variation in markets and some parts of the market insanely tough. There is a reason I won’t offer certain lures types and certain species markets.

My trip musky fishing last month was not just a fishing trip.

The one thing I am trying to avoid but I am being pressured from friends in the industry is moving east. As I told the one guy “fishing maybe good in Ontario but the hunting sucks”

A short list of name options will be created sometime today
