I doubt the forum membership is an accurate cross section of te Alberta population. If it was WR would have won every seat, this election AND last.

But lets go ahead and see.

It's a survey monkey poll not an AOF poll. Send it out to all your buddies that way we can get a good cross representative tally.

I voted. But I don't have social network things. I don't have a face for Facebook, and I can't carry a song for sweet tweet.

Default It's too early

I'm gonna wait till 1,400,000 people revote ,I'll see how it goes .
I could be the tie breaker ....

I believe a recall is in order , just keep doing it till everyone is happy .

What we should do is make the million or more Albertans who didn't

Vote cast a ballot ....but what if they all vote NDP .....scrap that

Idea.

Yeah I think that is the idea.I imagine there are a lot of Albertans who were staunch PC voters that voted NDP to "protest" rather than vote Wildrose. Also kick in the fact the a lot of people that were wooed by the NDP only saw election signs that said "NDP" with the leaders name on it instead of the prospective MLA.....most likely the same tactic last Federal election under Layton. All in all it was a hood wink of an election that saw the right wing vote split between the PC's and the WR with the NDP getting the benefit of the split as well as the protest vote.

I voted WR and the best result for the election IMO would have been a WR minority government so Albertans could give them 4 years without absolute power and then decide if they are/were worthy of unlimited power of a majority government.

Worst comes to worst is the NDP get crazy with socialist policies for 4 years and they get punted next election. If the NDP manage to run a good ship and dont get stupid and balance the books and run things on an even keel they will get re-elected.That being said I dont have much faith on the depth of the prospective NDP MLA candidates for cabinet selection.

I dont have much faith in the NDP as I have seen what they did when elected in BC Provincially. At the same time I had less faith in the PC's as they have run Alberta into the ground since Ralph left office.

It comes down to this....many years of PC mismanagement VS the next 4 years of potential NDP success/failure.If the NDP spend the next 4 years trying and spending Alberta into a socialist paradise they will lose the next election and most likely be replaced by the Wildrose as the PC's are dead.

In the grand scheme of things it is up to the NDP to choose and gauranteed all those choices will be made by Notly and not the hordes of inexperienced know nothing newly elected MLA's.

Just my .02

^this. It's not even close.

If I were to vote again, I'd vote the same way. And the candidate I voted for still wouldn't be elected.

Yes because there doesn't seem to be enough room in all the other NDP threads for your responses.
