No Wayne, it wasn't the pink Barbie rod I caught the pike on....lmao. It was pretty cool to get my first pike though. Even better was that my two youngest boys got their first before I got mine, and they did it off the dock. That was priceless!!

Default very happy

Aside from being green with envy....I am absolutely elated that everyone had a great time and that the kids were all smiles for the weekend. Weather co-operated which is always helpful. Looked like an awesome location as well. Most definately fitting for all the kids. Really wished the husband and I could have been there, however the oldest daughter was turning 18 and unfortunately she has never managed to catch the fishing fever. I definately noticed that many of the kids attending the function did catch it and could very well be hollering "move over Dave Mercer!" Absolutely awesome photos and I am glad everyone had such a great time. Thanks so much to those who shared them with me. Got my fingers crossed that we will be able to attend the next gathering planned. I look forward to meeting all of you!!!

Eva (our 10 y/o) was talking about the pike she caught in the dingy, she just non-chalantly said, yeah I caught one, and had to get the hook out and throw it back, but it was small. we started laughing, because I guess me bringing her out with me has given her the big fish fever now. the hammer handles are not exciting anymore.
This is the girl with no sense of balance, standing up in the dingy!!!
OH and it was caught with the red and white stripe spoon donated by TFH!!!

So much for my amazingly relaxing day yesterday. Before I even got to proof read my post there, I got a call from the school, Rooney got nailed by a swing and was bleeding. pushed his teeth through his bottom lip and loosened them a little. Good thing he is a boy, he had bounced back by the afternoon.

Thanks again to everyone, and I cant wait for the next meeting
