Gopher shoot

2018 gopher shoot now at 1764---This year an amazeing number of birds of prey takeing advantage of an easy meal--plus of course magpies, crows, ravens,and early morning some yotes sneaking off. The best shooter so far a CIL single shot Anschutz 22 lr--edgeing out a t bolt 22mag--mod 10/22--CZ 22lr--have not tryed the 17wsmag yet--that for sure a no contest. longest shot 183 m on the 1st try with the Anschutz.

what is your anscutz zeroed at and how much did you hold over the gofer for the 183 m shot ?

We had 9 bald eagles on a field we did a couple weeks ago

How much you gettin for them pelts? How’s the meat this time of year? I hear they are better late July just before they hibernate.

This gun zeroed at 70 m That 2,5 rangeing circles at 190m--we range the long shots before hand of course---with this particular scope--a no wind day made it a lot easier.For sure 90% of gopher shot less than 70 m .The Anscutz long barrel good trigger, A very well made rifle, and it starts to show on the long shots.
It also comes down to time in the field--this passed four years counting this year we recorded over 10000 gophers.
