Bastian has been working on this since 1979, at least (Bastian, Frank. Spiroplasma-like inclusions in Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine [01 Dec 1979, 103(13):665-669]). He has not found a cure in those 40 years and he has not convinced the majority of CWD researchers.

This does not mean that he is wrong but the sudden awareness of his research in Pennsylvania is probably not a cause for optimism.

Point was, there already is a thread, discussing this extensively.
Nothing new here.
Bastian has not convinced the CWD research community, nor had repeatable results published.
File under "waiting for convincing evidence".

So from now on when one starts a thread an in depth search of the forum needs to be done to be sure another thread on same topic doesn't exist? Might be easier if you just don't click on a thread that you believe may be a duplicate.....or you could just not whine about it. One of those two options would be preferable

Unless you autopsy the brain, you wouldn't see it. Alzheimer's a prion disease ? One has to wonder.

Actually, there were at least 2 threads. As I also started one.
We should have 200 of these to be honest.

This could be a game changer. And I doubt we have a more important issue in our outdoorsman world.

They did autopsy the brain.
That's why they did the study.

I would appreciate your providing a link to this study. I'm just starting to learn more about this class of disease but I would have thought they would find CJD not BSE. Anyway, I'd like to get more information.

Thanks.
