Default Minnow scales

What's the best way to remove minnow scales from reels and rod handles?

H2O2 (29%) and a nylon brush. And plenty of H2O.

Rooster: I use Iso Propyl Alcohol, it and Qtips. No damage to reels or rod finish.

Another tip is to use better quality minnows. Many with nicer boats will not use many of the brands due to the scales it leaves all over their boats and the cleaning involved to get them off. Same deal goes for the gear. Just sayin........

I use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser on the cork. It helps to brighten up the cork as well.

Quit smashing minnows with your fishing rods.

Another pro tip, go plastics. None of those pesky scales. I know I changed it up a couple of years ago and have never looked back. Those scales were such a hardship…
